This vehicle is more than just transportation to us—it represents hope, stability, and a fresh sense of freedom for our family. Because of you, I am able to provide for my children more easily, get them to school and appointments, and continue working toward a better future for us all. Your generosity has truly lifted a huge weight from my shoulders.
Through every hardship, I have always believed that God is with us, and your blessing is a beautiful reminder of His love working through others. I purchased a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan from Owen’s Garage. I am very pleased with my purchase, it helped me tremendously at the time because I was without transportation, employment, and a place to live. Attending Hill Country Bible Church is how I found out about Owen’s Garage.
I was able to purchase a vehicle for a very reasonable price. That was a real blessing to me. The mentors and students put a lot of work into getting my van road worthy. I am confident in their training and abilities to perform auto mechanics at Owen’s Garage. I recommend them highly for anyone looking at purchasing a vehicle.
On the day I purchased my van, all the instructors and the students all gathered around and prayed for me and the current needs I had at the time. Very encouraging.
Thank you Owen’s Garage for providing such a valuable and much needed service/ministry to individuals in need of reliable transportation.

Thank you for the time you took to resolve my slipping transmission problem. I just got back from dropping Savannah off in South Austin and after driving an hour in rush-hour traffic the car did great – no slipping at all. Savannah may be able to use it to get around to her job and other things. God is good!
One of the students led the prayer time. It was a joy and a gift!

I hold so much gratitude the gentlemen at CARS who provide such a needed ministry. I’m a disabled grandma who has felt the love of Jesus through the cheerful generosity of their services. The work is always stellar quality and without their sacrifice I would not be able to afford to keep my car.

I want to share my experience with them because I realize that there has always been a negative stigma associated with mechanics in general. I can assure you that if you have any vehicle issues, you can discard any apprehension that you might have when bringing your car to them. When my Toyota RAV4 was having radiator issues and the check engine light wouldn’t turn off, I was honestly terrified. Being the single dad of a special needs teenager means that you literally must watch every penny. The director was very friendly, and extremely informative. He explained the options that I had without making me feel that my questions were stupid.
I was very pleased with how thorough they were. I am still inspired by how friendly and courteous they were with me and my son. I would highly recommend Owens Garage for all your auto service needs.

My son and I are very thankful for all your help. It was a huge blessing for us to go from being without a working vehicle for a year to driving again. You all gave us our independence back and for that we are eternally grateful. I know this was God’s work because it was a real miracle that we found you. I want to thank you for the CARS at Owen’s Garage ministry. While on furlough I borrowed a car but it had trouble with the driver’s window. I had no idea where to get this fixed, what was needed to fix it, or how much it would all cost. But I was referred to CARS at Owen’s Garage as a possibility.
The director ordered the necessary parts ahead of time but what was delivered was incorrect. The guys at Owen’s quickly resolved that problem. While waiting, I had the opportunity to talk with one of the mentors – a man with a very gentle spirit and humble.
Once the window was fixed, I was not only very happy but was invited to sit down to a meal with them. After learning more about their ministry and having prayers said over me, I definitely am impressed with the ministry of CARS at Owen’s Garage.
From an anonymous family - For 9 months the life of our family changed. We were forced to leave our land for fear of political persecution. We arrived in this country with our 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son with 4 suitcases and the anguish of facing a new destiny.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the Hill Country Bible Church community in Austin, and others who gave selflessly of themselves. We were directed to Owen’s Garage who made improvements on a Chrysler Pacifica minivan which was donated to us. It greatly benefitted our quality of family life, and has allowed us to drive to our jobs, the supermarket and the school of our children.

The CARS at Owens Garage Ministry is making such a difference in the community. They are truly the hands and feet of Jesus, administering auto care training, fellowship, mentoring, evangelism, and more to young men who need this opportunity.
The ministry has been so thoughtful in assisting my family with auto care during a time when our funds were limited due to loss of employment. They not only helped with our mechanical need but have become like family, checking on us and praying for us. It is such a blessing having this ministry outreach helping where they can. They are making a difference in the lives of others. Thank you all. You’re truly a blessing.

Thanks so much for providing the Nissan Altima to our family. My wife is using it to learn how to drive, which takes time and practice. Having a second vehicle allows her to do this even when our primary car is not available.
The car also gives her access to more job opportunities and can provide transportation to a job without burdening her coworkers or others for rides. She can also now continue her work at the animal shelter and attend her small group meetings. Thanks again, this gift was wonderful!

I deeply appreciate and am grateful for the kindness and generosity you showed in getting a vehicle mechanically ready to drive.
I did 3 tours of contractor duty in Afghanistan and was shot in the abdomen on the last one. Then I fought cancer for seven years but during my recovery I earned my Real Estate license. Recently, while driving to a property showing, I was hit by a truck which totaled my car and there was no insurance to cover the loss. This put me down once again tremendously, but I have to go to work. It is not my cup of tea to live on disability, so you have no idea how much I appreciate everything you are doing for me!
